Mahesh C. Arora is Advisor at RIS. Earlier, he was with the Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India. He worked at a number of important Indian Missions abroad, including Hong Kong, Berne, Rabat, Dar-es-Salaam, Paris, Pretoria and Kathmandu. He was the Head of Chancery at India’s Mission in Pretoria where he also looked after political, cultural and consular matters. In 2013, he superannuated from the Indian Mission in Kathmandu as First Secretary and Head of Economic Cooperation Wing looking after India’s development cooperation programme in the country.

He is a keen observer of international affairs and has significant knowledge of issues relating to international development assistance and South-South Cooperation.
