Health

The provision of an affordable and appropriate healthcare is a key component of global development (SDG 3). Evidence suggests that national capabilities that support innovation and technology have contributed significantly in lowering healthcare costs in developing as well as developed countries. It points investments in human resource development and R&D in the pharmaceutical sector to develop local capabilities. The SDGs open up scope for learning from the experiences of one another. Starting with almost the same set of constraints, half a century ago, countries like India have successfully resolved many of those challenges and have forged ahead. India has certain good experiences to share with others, while learning the best practices from others. GDC plans to play the role of enabler in sharing of these best practices.
