Generally the discussions on agriculture have mostly revolved around the issue of food and nutrient security considering the significance of the agriculture sector in broad terms. However, it would be more pragmatic to narrow the approach and look into the matter more deeply at the sub-sectoral level within the broad agriculture domain. GDC is analysing the matter deeply from the input-side as well as from the output side interventions, thereby, advocating modalities to enhance food productivity and accessibility and in a way ensuring food and nutrient security (SDG 2) for the majority of the population.
