India’s robust innovation network has evolved over the years primarily under public patronage. India has also seen spontaneous supply of cost effective innovations suited to local needs driven by individual innovators often outside formal innovation support systems. India has made serious efforts to bridge the alleged public-private divide in Science Technology & Innovation (STI) systems. India has contributed meaningfully to international scientific projects and has shared scientific expertise with partner countries in the South.

There is a documented evidence to show that technical cooperation between India and some of the developing countries has led to economic and other benefits. India can contribute in scaling up nascent inventions and transform them into cost effective innovations. GDC plans to share such innovations with many countries of global south through collaborative means.
